Later on Day 3..Victory Ceremony
At the Victory Ceremony we were treated to a performance by Trooper and Lover Boy, or Lard Boy as we affectionately called him. He hasn't aged a bit, more like a lot. We love the headband, we wish we would have caught it when he threw the sweaty disgusting thing in the crowd. We also loved the fact that he wasn't wearing the official Olympic Jersey, but last years discount jersey. The cheese factor was over the top!!
On our walk home we noticed this huge Canadian Flag drapped on a building, it was so crazy big!
See you next time as we report on Canada Figure skating!
Day 3
This is all backwards, but at least we are posting this early in the morning. Our day started as normal until the sea of orange was upon us. The freakie deakie Dutch were out in full force to support their sport, Speed Skating.
Canada won silver!! Who cares about the Dutch..lol
earlier that morning...
Still day 2... it goes on & on...
Later that day...
We met up with our friend Terri. Her son competed in Ski Jumping at the Olympics. This is when Trouble meets Glaudia... Free food and oh yeah free Booze for the 3 hour train ride back to Vancouver... you could say we poured ourselves off the train... and then we met up with our boss... dun dun dun danh
Whistler
Day 2 (Barely!!!)
After a 4:15 wakeup call we boarded the
Rockie Mountaineer, Alberta Train to Whistler. We are positive the sceenery was beautiful but we slept a good chunk of the way... Oopah!
We changed into our ski clothes to watch the ladies super G but it was 15 C & even Clauida was boiling. We couldn't understand why no one else was drinking beer besides us until we discovered it was only 10:30am. Rock on!! We thought for sure it was at least 2pm!!!
Day 1
After Gloria finding her camera cords she arrived at Claudia's (running 15 mins late) we lost Claudia's phone under the car seat, had to pull over to reteive it (Chris was still on the other end) and then we still had to stop at Starbucks for our enroute fix... we only arrived a little bit late. Claudia relaxed when she saw the plane was still there...
